What I Should Have Said

I told someone that I went to a fancy event and that someone said that I should have challenged everything that the guest speaker was saying.  “Haha that’s what I would do.”

I didn’t respond, but my response should have been:

“No, you would not have done that.  I do not think that you would go to a business meeting at a posh restaurant and then harrass the people that invited you.  Not only is that extremely unprofessional but it’s also very rude.  To say that you would do that is absolutely wrong of you and to advise me to do so is even worst.”

Technically, I could still go back and say that to this person, but I just don’t feel like admitting that I’m still obsessing over this.
